Cystic Acne Treatment

Cystic Acne Treatment Explained

.....Cystic acne treatment should be performed under the control of dermatologist. Cystic acne is one of severe forms of that disease and it has to be treated seriously.

If left without any treatment, it may result in permanent skin damage - acne scars.  Improper treatment for cystic acne may have unpleasant results.

What are cysts?

Cysts are whiteheads or blackheads that has become swollen as the result of deep infection. If not healed in time, the infections may leave deep scars.

As it was said before, the cystic acne is one of the severe forms of the disease and requires immediate treatment.

Curing cystic acne

Treatment of cystic acne should be started immediately after visiting the dermatologist. The most important part of treatment is controlling black- and whiteheads.

Washing your face twice a day is important. Cleaning it before going to sleep is an absolute must.

If an infection is more severe than usual, using anti-acne lotion and going through clinical treatment will also become necessary.

The most usual forms of severe cystic acne treatment are deep pore cleaning using beauty products, microdermabrasion and acne laser surgery.

1. Deep pore cleaning using beauty products
It's the most common method of cleaning clogged pores. There are several products that can help you. What's important, they usually get rid of dead skin cells in addition to cleaning the pores. It enhances the cosmetics' usefulness and prolongs the effects of the cystic acne treatment. This method is used to cure all forms of cystic acne - either as the only method or as a part of more complex treatment.

2. Microdermabrasion
In more severe cases, your doctor may advise microdermabrasion. It's not surgery of any kind, but a new process that cleans the pores and gets rid of dead skin cells. The machine works as a "vacuum cleaner", vacuuming the pores of the skin and unclogging them. Then it jets a thin layer of aluminum dioxide to peel off the dead skin layer.

In the  treatment of cystic acne the most important part of microdermabrasion is cleaning the pores. It usually also removes white- and blackheads, reducing the chance of creating permanent scars.

3. Laser light treatment
When your cystic acne is very severe, your doctor may decide to send you for laser acne surgery. In this treatment the surgeon uses laser to dig deep in the pores to clean and disinfect them. It's really a kind of microsurgery, not a simple beauty treatment.

Clearing up acne is never easy, but cystic acne treatment is among the most complicated.  Get expert help as soon as possible.
