Teenage women face the challenge of applying makeup over pimples.

Apply a moisturizer. Women often believe that the skin is already to oily so many women omit the moisturizer. This is a mistake.
Moisturizers help the makeup flow properly, remain smooth longer, and can balance the face's PH. Most pimples are caused by bacteria and dirt, not the face's natural oils.
Wait at least ten minutes before applying the rest of the makeup. This allows time for the concealer to blend with the face and create an even cover.
Acne is usually confined to the chin, nose, and forehead. Only apply a think layer of makeup on these areas. If there are prominent pimples on these areas, spot cover them.
Consider a brand of makeup that does not clog pores. Makeup created for teens often contain ingredients that kill bacteria and cleans pores.
Teenage Acne and Cosmetics - Non-Allergenic Makeup
Selecting a non-allergenic makeup will also help reduce redness and skin irritation.
Proper hygiene is the key to reducing acne. Wash the skin twice a day. Do not rub hard with a wash cloth or towel.
An astringent pad can be used on pimples through the day when it is time to reapply makeup.
Many women do not have the option of going without makeup. The stigma of going without makeup, or of revealing pimples, is often worse than adding to the acne problem.
Covering up unsightly blemishes can raise a teenager's self-esteem. There is no reason why a woman should not wear makeup over acne. It is a lifestyle choice.
Consulting a specialist is the best place to start. They will help determine the PH balance of the face, what products will work best, and how to avoid future problems.
Many department stores have makeup specialists who receive specialized training. Most are particularly empathetic to the plight of the teenage girl.

There is an empathy that can make it easier to ask for assistance. Department stores hold special workshops and seminars on makeup application.
The classes that cater to teenagers often take up the subject of acne blemishes and both how to cover them up properly and how to fight acne with proper skin care.
The problem is that these associates are trained on only one or two makeup brands. They are not cosmetologists.
Direct sales organizations specialize in providing high quality cosmetics to women. Many of these companies have good reputations gained from years of satisfied customers, and their commitment to lead the industry in research.
Many have products that fight acne and improve the process of applying makeup over an outbreak. These sales gals are more knowledgeable than department store clerks. They make their living as cosmetic sales people, and deal with cosmetic savvy clients.
